CDC on Homemade Cloth Face Coverings

CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.

CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.  Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.

Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators.  Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.

The masks are made of 100% polyester fabric.

TYING YOUR MASK with ear loops
Simply tie the ends of the strings on each side of the mask into a loop knot to achieve the desired size of the loop to fit over your ear or Ear Saver System™ (Patent Pending) headgear.

1) On one side of the mask, grasp the two strings together.
2) Make a loop using both strings together, putting the free ends at the back of the loop
3) Pass the free ends of the string through the loop, coming around from the front of the loop
4) Tighten the loop by pulling on the free ends of the string
5) Repeat the process for the strings on the opposite side of the mask

TYING YOUR MASK to wear without ear loops
If you don't want to wear the mask with ear loops, then use the full tie to wrap to the back of your head and simply tie a basic knot and bow at the back of your head.

Individuals should be careful not to touch their eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their face covering and wash hands immediately after removing.

Face coverings should be routinely washed depending on the frequency of use.

These can be hand washed using laundry detergent and warm water. Hang dry. Do not tumble dry as this may cause the wires across the bridge of the nose to break.

We are offering an Adult and a Juniors size. Please use with supervision when buying for minors. Sorry, but we do not offer a “baby” size.
